There is something which cannot be had. Or gotten. Or reached.
That’s what we already are. And it cannot ever be changed. The ego sense of course likes the feeling of getting and losing. It stays into itself through these two things - getting (high, achievement, yes! ) or losing (low, loss, oh no!) and these two are gripping for some time but exhausting and finally the mind is ready to give up this realm of opposites - basically it’s ready for death.
Death of the mind which operates in opposites is the birth of immortality. The shining of simplicity. This cannot be sensed while mind is still active and riding the waves of ups and downs. Of course while the waves are identified with it is still empty but the whole thing in time is to sense no time. It’s the only game life as a human truly plays. Even if it’s for a nano second to sense this immortality is all there is…..and of course it is not a question of its continuity because that involves conscious time again ….but there onwards it’s just life, life and life. Undivided. Forever. Eternal. The me sense is all that seems to die.
For us to become interested in that which cannot be achieved or lost is truly a momentous (non) happening and shows the subtlety of ultimate truth which only the human brain can come to.
