The Steadiness Of This Moment
There has to be something
Which is not fragile
Which does not come and go
Which is not a matter of luck or randomness
That something must be greater than man
Greater than being individual
And if it is the only truth
Then its simplicity must also be its profundity
It’s immensity must also be its utter emptiness
Man can only sense this
When he somehow questions his ability to think in terms of objects
Then there can be no man any longer
Since he was nothing more than an object himself
All that remains is all there ever really is
Just this simple profundity itself
There has to be something
Which is not fragile
Which does not come and go
Which is not a matter of luck or randomness
That something must be greater than man
Greater than being individual
And if it is the only truth
Then its simplicity must also be its profundity
It’s immensity must also be its utter emptiness
Man can only sense this
When he somehow questions his ability to think in terms of objects
Then there can be no man any longer
Since he was nothing more than an object himself
All that remains is all there ever really is
Just this simple profundity itself
