The Simplicity Beneath It All

Amidst the occurrences of happenings in the world 
There lies a pristine calm 
A simplicity 
So simple in fact that it seems to be everywhere 
In fact to see myself here and the other at a distance from me 
Is not so simple at all 
There is tremendous effort in imagining this separation between myself and another 
Yet the simplicity 
Remains effortless 
And untouched
