Does The Sound Happen There, Over There?

Everything happens in the same place
The place where I am
Even the faintest sound is heard here
The mind inserts distance and a producer of the sound
But even the sounds occurring apparently close to me, labeled as loud by the mind
And those occurring apparently far from me, labeled as faint
Are both heard right here
Where I always am
