An Entirely New Framework
As human beings we are conditioned to see the world from a personal point of view
So strong is this habit that it fails to see the obvious impersonal nature of reality
It seeks to constantly seek explanations for its joys and pain
And craves control and predictability
It imagines concepts like destiny and rebirth to explain its patchy life
But believing in destiny always assumes a separate independent entity with choice and free will
And an entire framework of what is considered good and bad
It must believe in the concept of cause and effect and requires constant effort on the part of the person to conform to what is believed to be good
It is a conceptual framework whose focus is a small set of sensations called the body and a limited set of personal events called pleasure and pain
But if the simple truth of life as being one interconnected whole is entertained by the mind
The entire personal framework collapses
Since now there can be no free will, no individuality and no concept of time and therefore no cause and effect
The mind then stops its habitual analyzing and strategizing to bolster the imaginary personal viewpoint
And senses the non conceptual simplicity of the truth
Which needs no effort at all any more
And the idea of destiny finally loses its meaning
